Registered Chiropractor - John Christian Tillyard BSc (chiro), MBA, DC, MMCA

As founder of the Cornwall Chiropractic Clinic, I was first drawn into chiropractic following a serious back injury sailing off the Isle of Whyte in my mid thirties. This brought me into contact with the whole science of musculo-skeletal injuries and how best to treat ones spine and safeguard its future health.

I came into chiropractic as a practitioner in a round about way. Having spent the first twenty years of my working life as a chartered accountant, I reached my forties looking for something else from my working life. Having had a successful career I was still looking to succeed but at a pace and in a manner I could choose. Chiropractic offered the opportunity to obtain a new skill, work with people and put something back into the community in which I lived.

Since qualifying in 2001 as a McTimoney chiropractor I have offered my skills to the widest possible range of patients. With still a relatively small percentage using chiropractic, my main objective has been to broaden the understanding of what we do. Seeing myself as a generalist I have strived to bring chiropractic care to the local community, in particular into the family environment.

Rehabilitation is an integral part of what the clinic offers, providing a range of competencies that will both support and enhance out patients lives. Chiropractic care is just one part of that effort.
