Clinic News
As many of you are now aware the Hayle clinic has been operating from a newly renovated building in Foundry Square since December 2008.
Feedback from patients and staff has warmly welcomed the new location, offering a discrete but caring environment to both patients and practitioners alike.
The clinic built on the provision of healthcare for musculo-skeletal disorders, is now able to offer help in the areas of:
- foot disorders including bio-mechanical problems
- emotional problems like smoking, insomnia, addictions, relationships
- eating disorders and dietary needs
- relaxation and stress
- Rehabilitation including yoga and core training.
A number of well qualified practitioners have joined the clinic offering expertise in podiatry, EFT (new energy psychology technique), diet/nutrition, Reiki and aromatherapy, personal training, polartis and yoga.
Each practitioner will be asked to prepare a summation of their area of expertise which will be forwarded to all patients on e-mail.
The plan over the next few months is to run out initiatives that address some of the clinic’s main concerns. We have already started a “core class” that helps patients better understand the significance of core strength and gives them a methodology to retrain these all important muscles. These classes are a real alternative to attending yoga and polartis classes. They offer the busy person a way of training at home that is both safe and effective.
The clinic is also looking to launch a “walking buddies club” by asking for volunteers who are prepared to walk with patients and others, who are unable to leave their homes and walk without support. The commitment will be for 60-90 minutes a week. We are also interested in hearing from people who would like to take this service up. You need to be physically able to walk but are unable to go out on your own.
